Fair price for Spindle Bearing Replacement
I called Lander's the local yota dealer and they quotes me about 340 with tax for passanger side inner and outer spindle bushing's. Is this a decent price or should I try and tackle the job my self?

That, to me, sounds pretty high. If you can get (which Iam sure you can) The bushings from Toyota, I would reccomend doing it yourself. IMHO doing some work on you truck.... pays off big time. You learn, you feel good after and then you also have nobody to blame but yourself. That last part I know too well. lol. Use the Flashing search button and Iam sure you'll find part #'s and install help. In regards to getting the old bushings out... just use a big enough socket (25mm?) just to tap it out. But to install, I belive you'll need a hydraulic press. Hope this helps at all.

I've done several of those spindle bushings. Never have had to use a press. I use a long brass punch to knock the old out then I have a piece of alum. flat stock that I use to install the new ones. Just have to make sure you are installing them straight. They are REAL easy to do. While your there repack the bearings with a new grease seal.
Good luck.

Thanks guys I've looked at the write up and felt ok about it up to the point of the press and all of that. I have very limited access to those parts and am very new wrentch, in other words suspention and internal engine scares the crap out of me. I know how it works I just am not sure I have the tools, facilities, and know how to do alot of the work on my truck. The part is about 60 from lander's which isn't bad. So I guess I might as well give it a shot.
