try adjusting your valves. cant hurt anythign and it's free

OK all I had the same problem as most of you have. Being my DASHPOT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS MISSING SOME PARTS, like the cap and the stuff under that little cape, I went to toyota, and orderd a new one. Hed it put in, and bingo my problems are over smooth as felt. 45.00 for the part at toyota.
