just bought a 91 ext!! i wanna shorten the wheel base. it is a flat bed so i dont need to worry about bobbing a bed. typical when you put chevy leafs you move the front hanger 11 inch foward and the rear 4 inches back. if i just moved the front 15inches in theory it would shorted the wheelbase about 11inches down to 109" instead of 120".

has anyone down this most the write ups ive seen are for tacomas and they talked about moving the gas tank. any major problems im over looking?

 

I think at that far forward you will run into issues with the frame where it curves up for axle clearance, I think you might be starting to get into where it is straight and it will leave you with a lack of clearance. You will have to move the tank also.

Might wanna go make some measurements off the frame and see where you will end up.
