my 22re has pacesetter headers into full 2.5" exhaust with no cat. i am using a magnaflow "turbo" series muffler, i think they call it "turbo" series, its basically a really big glasspack, no baffles or anything, anyway, the truck's not really that loud at all, cruising at 2850rpm on the freeway i can hardly hear it, all terrain tires are louder. oh, i made my header back exhaust, it has a total of 180 degrees of bends in it...

You won't realize the full potential of a higher flow muffler unless you get the pipes to compliment it. Flowmaster is one of the better sounding mufflers but there are better flowing mufflers out there. The best pipe size for the 22RE is a 2" mandrel bent pipe, or many go with a 2 1/4" pressure bent pipe due to the not so common availablity of mandrel bent kits or shops that have mandrel benders to do a 2" mandrel bent system.
