enigine mount on a 22re?

We started to pull my motor to get it bored and found that my motor mounts are just as beat up as the rest of my truck and I thought crap I have the motor out why not replace these things while I am at it. I have looked up prices at the junkyard ones $11-$16 but can only find v6 ones. I looked up auto parts store and they run about $35-$75 per mount. And bombproof ones run $85-$100 for the pair but I know nothing about them. So that brings me to my post question:

Will 3vz(3.0) engine mounts work with a 22re, most aftermarket places have them listed as the same part number?
Are the bombproof engine mounts worth buying?
Does anyone know of an inexpensive alternative?

weld the block to the frame!!!!!

no? well then i'm subscribing.

i've heard the bomb-proof ones create a lot of vibration. the t-case mount they make is nice, as it doesn't add much, if any, vibration. but i don't know about the engine mounts

I think it all depends how you use your rig for wheelin. do you go rock climbing with lots of banging your toy off the rocks, use the bombproof ones. If your using it for some mud or sand with a little racing of the engine, the regular ones are good enough. It's all in how your going to run your rig.

Unless you have a huge torque monster motor anything over stock is tossing the cash away. Remember, the stiffer the mount, the more vibration is transferred to the frame. Some people don't mind that and some do. I've run stock on my trucks( 22R and 22RE ) and never experienced any breakage due to trails, sand, or rocks. Just age.....

You may have that backwards. mud and sand are going to cuase a drag on the driveline which puts more torque on the mounts. Rock crawlin is a slower pace. If your banging your toy off the rocks you have more to worry about than mounts..

Yes, I may have it backwards, no matter what when you go wheelin, your gonna do a lot of low torque drivin putting stress on a lot of parts. It's all in how your going to use and abuse ur rig.

I'm kinda looking a price too. Why pay $130 for OEM if I can get good aftermarket ones for $100?

Stock motor mounts unless you have dual cases.

They work on both sides, I just haven't gotten to it yet.

It was pretty exposed when I was swapping intakes.

Sounds like a great alternative softer then bombproof, but not stock either.
