ok long time no talk, here is what I've done and what my problem is. Changed 1994 3.0 liter to recently rebuilt 1993 3.0 from truck that got wrecked. truck was also 4x4. Truck ran for a few minutes with 94 computer and then stopped.Don't think 94 will work with 93 motor, any other changes i should look at.
anyway i guess i need to change computer from 94 to 93??? does it make a difference that 93 was a 4x4??? I have both computers help

 

Do your two computers have the same part number? http://www.toyotapartszone.com/oem/t...661-35770.html This site shows that part was unchanged from 91 through 94 (93-08 production is a '94 model).

Do you know "why" the truck stopped? I'd hate you see you spend $400 on a new computer when you just ran out of gas.

 

was the ECM from the 93 damaged? how come you retained the ECM for the last motor?
