Engine running rough

I have a 1990 truck with 22re engine. It will idle but a little rough when cold. With WOT the engine revs up and then right back down. It does this the whole time with WOT. Anyone know what I should do? Thanks

Can you expand on "With WOT the engine revs up and then right back down."? We don't have enough info in your post to help us help you.

Sounds like a dirty throttle body.

Check intake air hose for damage.

When I open throttle all the way open its revs up then back to idle and continues to do it while the throttle stays completely open. I did take intake hose off and it is covered with dirt and grime. What can I clean it with?

Got cleaner today and sprayed in and cleaned it out but still ran the same way. So I pulled plug off of the TPS and cleaned it. To my surprise it fixed my problem. Thanks for your help. Now I have to figure out where the oil leak is. Slinging oil all over the front of engine.

Glad you found your problem.

Oil leak at the front of the engine...

Suspect oil pump and or front main seal leak...?

Timing Cover...?

Cylinder head cover...?

Distributor shaft housing seal...?
