engine drops rpm when oil cap is removed while idling..

mine is a 91 4runner v6 auto, 160k miles, needs new timing belt. :cry:

your losing vacuum thru there,don't do that,it won't hurt anything unless the cap gets left off,but ther is no need to remove the oil cap when the engine is running

yeah, and if your oil is at the correct level, you might just be splattering oil all over your engine compartment. no point of having the cap off except to add oil!
