OKay so before I asked how I would put an emblem on and butnut asked me when they were going on and so i've decided to put them on tomorrow 7/31/02 although the question still remains where should i put it? I was thinking maybe on the sides of the 4runner and then one on the back (it is a TRD emblem by the way finally got around to getting my TRD radiator cap and oil cap so I will worry about the supercharger later).

 

I think that it would be cool to see them on the sides and the trunk, that way someone can see them whichever side of your 4Runner they are on! I think that is a good idea! Goodluck and take some pictures for us! :fireman:

 

Maybe post a pic of the emblem(s) so we can get an idea...TRD has a lot of emblems. I'd put a tiny piece of double stick tape behind the emblem and temporarily see what it looks like before you peel-n-stick. Stand back and see if the location works.

my dad has a 2000 gmc yukon XL.... (suburban) he took off everything that says GMC or Yukon XL on it... custom front grille, hubcaps, and the other ones were easy enough to remove. it looks really sweet like that with nothing on it. just my opinion. but custom emblems look good too in some cases..... anyways... im goin to bed. see ya.

 

that's the kind of emblem I have, it's called the mark emblem and it's about 11-15 dollars I think, ebay has them but they're more on ebay. I have three total so If I don't use them all up, i'm going to stick on in the inside somewhere, or maybe i'll just order another one......I WILL take pictures and post them, actually I think i'll at least do the rear one now, pics will be up in a couple of hours.

You are correct. He got that TRD emblem in Japan.

 

I have that emblem. It is on my trunk below the SR5 4WD in the same position as above. I removed the pointless Toyota (spelled out) badge to put it on.

I got it mail order in the US. It is very sweet as it is raised letters that stick individually after you remove the backing.

I will post a link when I find it.

The Japan emblem they were referring to is the TRD one with the red/white stripes before the TRD. That's a TRD Japan emblem, along with the hilux surf badges.

It is not the one shown in my Avatar which is on my lower front doors.

Yea, they do import them over. Netz got his while in Japan. Occasionally you see them on ebay for sale and they are pretty nice.
