Engine code help!?
I've got an 88 4 Runner with a new 22RE, maybe 15,000 miles that recently overheated due to a stuck thermostat and now my check engine light comes on almost always. The codes read 22- water temp sensor, 24- intake air temp circuit fault, 31- air flow meter circuit fault, 42 vehicle speed sensor circuit fault, and finally 71-EGR system fault. Does anybody have any idea how to check these systems individually or correct any of this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated....... shop wants $400 to run tests. Thanks for your time...........TIM

Try this link. It is an online FSM for 1993 yota Trucks. http://www.personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-buchanan/93fsm/
Probably just need to clear the codes. Disconnecting battery( 1 min.) is the easiest but you lose memory on radio etc.
If clearing codes doesn't work then this manual will show you haw to test all your sensors.pretty straightforward.
