Emergency Brake light Flashing

I have a '94 Pickup with a manual transmission and the 2.4. The emergency brake indicator started flashing last week with the brake released. Is this tring to alert me of another issue? I have looked the brake over and things look normal. Any ideas???

see if the brake fluid is low

Check underneath the dash at the base of the e-brake.
There's a little button that is hit by a tab on the e-brake rod, check the button, check the wire, check the tab. Something might be broken or on the verge of breaking.

Heh, my brake light never turns off, mostly because my front cable is frayed and won't let the handle go in all the way. Mind you, my parking brakes are presently disconnected so I just ignore it, but you should check to see if your front cable is frayed, that'll keep it from going in all the way and will make your brake light angry.

mine done the same thing, i wrapped some tape around the lever, that contacts the switch on the e brake. the cable is probably out of adjustment.
