electrical problems

Ok, so I have no idea what could be wrong with my truck. When it warms up, the light for the e-brake and charge battery light comes on (brand new battery) and e-brake isn't on also. But it doesn't always do it. sometimes my radio, fog lights; anything electrical other than normal lights cut off completely. But the main thing is that it is all the sudden running bat sh** rpms. So what did I do? I adjusted the idle speed screw on the carb. So just tonight, my dad was driving it home and he revved it up high (when you rev it high, most all of the problems go away instantly) and then it almost died
-because I adjusted the idle screw way down- So if anyone has any idea what's wrong I would LOVE to hear some.

Alternator is bad or going bad... would be my guess. Local auto parts shop should test it for free.

Sounds like the alternator as well, get a multimeter and get a reading off of it.

ok, cool I'll probably try to test it tomorrow. I just hope it's not starting to die on me.

Ok, so now that I have the new alternator in, It is running at super low rpms/idles really low. The engine will barely make any sound and vibrates the truck a bit. I have tried adjusting idle speed again but make little to no difference. What do I do?

For the e brake lite check the brake fluid level.

Make sure you ware getting ample fuel to carb, maybe filter? Then check float.
