If the holes arent perfectly straight, you might have a little viberation and that is breaking your RVT seal causing the leak. I know this because I had an axel alignment issue when I bought mine, and by the time I got 2/3 the way home the viberation had completely shaken the pumpkin off the axel housing and lost all the studs. Obviously mine was worse than yours, but it did leak and it was because of the viberation.

Or maybe you didn't scrape down the mating surfaces clean enough- that's pretty critical. I took steel wool to both sides until they were shiny, then applied brake cleaner to remove the oil.

You could just swap the entire axle but the width is different. yours is 58" and the Tacoma axle is 60.75". You can just replace the third though.



How's it measure up to a 2 gen 4runner? I was thinking that I could cheat and do the same thing
