I got this sucker on my rear end and runs well, but it's not sealed well. I think it leaks around the pumpkin. I could have sworn I put a ton of RTV on there.
Can I just clean up the edges and apply some more sealant around it? Reason being, the holes were not drilled perfectly straight and its a pain to remove.

Or maybe you didn't scrape down the mating surfaces clean enough- that's pretty critical. I took steel wool to both sides until they were shiny, then applied brake cleaner to remove the oil.

You could just swap the entire axle but the width is different. yours is 58" and the Tacoma axle is 60.75". You can just replace the third though.
How's it measure up to a 2 gen 4runner? I was thinking that I could cheat and do the same thing
