Electric fan conversion !

Hello everyone.

Here are the couple pics of electric fan conversion, using a fan from Advance Auto, item # 226116.

Here is a link - http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Electric-Fan-16”-Diameter-Imperial_89019239-P_N3200A_A%7CGRP2070____

I have used 1/8 aluminum 90” angle, and M6 bolts. For better seal, I got some weather stripping for $2 and it worked perfectly.

It appears to push a lot more air then a mechanical one. I’m also upgrading to a 90 AMP , MR2 alternator, no mods required, just a belt inch longer.

Let me know what you guys think !

Thanks.

Any question – let me know !

Looks nice, what will you be using for thermo control?
Does it come w/ one, are you just going on/ off, ?
putting a rheostat on it and setting for season?

I just ate the plastic fan that comes w/ these trucks, I'm either putting a 3.0 fan on there or getting another one.....

I'll keep an eye in here and see how things work out for you, it looks good.

Im thinking of doing the conversion myself. I hate the stock fan.

Any pics of it installed?
