Does anyone know if the egr temp sensors are different by year models. Looks like the 85-91 are the same sensor for the 3vze and 92-after is a different part number. Would both sensors have different temperature readings?
I took the egr temp sensor from a 94 at a junkyard. Wonder if thats why its reading egr code BC its reading the wrong temperature.
I have a 89 3vze
Don't know about all specs, but I expect that the connector plugs will change between early and late types.
I found a 89 3vze pickup in the junkyard and took the egr temperatur3 sensor. I swapped it and not egr code for almost 4 days now. Im guessing the newer 92 and after sensor might be different temp range. The conector for the 92 and after is different and you could pull the connectors and swap it with the 89 connectors which I did. As of right now thats my experience so far. Well update if code pops up again. I normally drive 40miles to work and back.
Just want to confirm that the earlier EGR temp sensor De have different temp ranges. Just make sure to get the same sensor your vehicle has.
i was using a 93 egr sensor on a 89 and its would always give me a egr code.
I am officially check engine light free!
