EGR blowing oil?
After I have spent quite a bit of time getting my idle problem taken care of, I discoverd a new problem.
My truck has been using quite a bit of oil even though I just re-built it. I think I found the reason. When I had the truck running, i noticed a loud noise coming from the back of the valve cover where the EGR is. I noticed there was a lot of oil on the injector below the EGR. I pulled off the vac line that goes to the EGR and it was pumping out oil mist.
I searched and found that the EGR should not be a culprit when looking for an oil leak. Does anyone have any idea of how the EGR is supposed to work?

Synthetic oil to blame?
Upon further inspection, I think I have a much bigger problem on my hands. I think the plate behind the valve cover is also leaking. There is also seapage where the head meets the block. I also think the oil pan is leaking a bit.
This is all after I switched to Mobil-1 Synthetic. could this be the reason?
