E brake cable

Is it possible that ebrake cable is stretched beyond adjustment.just did rear brakes, (everything) and can’t get brakes to grab nicely. No more adjustment under cab, and yes I pulled drums against to make sure all was in right way
91 pickup ext cab 4wd 3.0 manual
thanks

If you mean the parking brake isn’t holding the vehicle when fully engaged I think you might need to make the adjustment at the bell crank. It’s about half way back, where the front cable is joined to the two rear cables. You might need to undo the adjustments you made at the drums, then tighten the adjustment at the bell crank. Then you can go back and fine tune the drum adjustment.
