Parking brake handle is stuck, and spins
I have searched and searched trying to find threads on fixing the parking brakes. It seems my problem is different. I can pull the handle out about a inch at most. The handle just spins in place, and I am lucky if I can even get it to the first click. Under the truck the front cable will pull tighten up. The back does not move much. And the driver side cable is missing completly along the axle. I am sure I will need to replace the rear cable assembly. But I am concerned about the handle in the cab as well. Could somthing in the cab be broken as well? I am not to concerned about the parking brake, but I would like to fix it some time down the road.

Replace the cable first, and go from there. Have someone sit in the cab and pull the cable while you crawl underneath to see whats going, thats a good place to start anyways. Good luck!

Replace the cable and then adjust the equalizer. There is an arm under the passenger side midway down the length of the truck. There is a threaded rod that goes from the arm to the equalizer where the two cables are attached. Loosen up the nuts and move the equalizer until you get 11 clicks on the parking brake.
Search for emergency brake or ebrake and you'll find more I think.
