Front E-brake cable installed, but no brake response
My front e-brake cable was snapped at the pulley, so I replaced it this last weekend. After setting tensioning the cable so my brake handle clicks are within a decent range, I get no actual braking response.
-Pulling the handle creates good cable tension
-the bell crank lever is being pulled on the rear brakes
Still no braking response at all.
Could there be a brake adjustment problem, or maybe the rear brakes are worn out?

Any suggestions on the adjustment?
I'm assuming this refers to turning the geared wheel as described in the manual
BTW, it's an 87 4x4 pickup.

you can either turn the starwheel like recomended in the manual, or pull the ebrake handle on and off till your arms gets tired. They are self adjusting that way, but only if everything is working inside the drum. The starwheel is the best method.
