Dumb question!
I have 31 10.50 procomp x terran tires an want to know the right psi for highway driveing I have 30 in them now but they seem low. It says 50 psi with a full load on the tire but thats it. The sides of the tires are getting chewed up pretty bad also.

I'd say run more especially if both sides of each tire are wearing.
You can also do things like put some chalk on the ground and drive over it. If the tires are too hard you won't have chalk evenly distributed on the tread. I'm not sure how that will look if they are too low though.

i run my tires usually at 35 or so, but with higher pressures your gas milage will go up. but if the sides are wearing then your running too low of pressure. if you notice the center wearing faster than the ouside then its too high.

higher psi yields higher mps and rougher ride harder on susp, and going too high compromises traction.
lower psi gives less mps, softer ride and softer on susp.
there is a balance and going towards the extremes is not good.
and i dont necessarily think your question is dumb. reading peoples' setups and locations and mileages helps me determine whats best for my situations.
