dry cylinder??

1987 4Runner DLX 22RE EFI remfg. motor with 72K, /new cylinder head, incl. cam, Intake manny cleaned, 4 remfg. Denso injectors. Yeah same SUV with suspected electrical issues(timing)
compression 175# on all cylinders, everything new or replaced recently: gas tank, fuel pump (inside tank) lines, gas filter, etc. New starter, battery. Starts fine, idles a bit erratic, under load, sputters.
mechanic(s) declared no fuel in #2. Replaced injector (had to undo entire manny, regasket, and still runs awful. Could injectors, Denso remfg. by Atlantaauto all be faulty. Any other cause? Also replaced the fuel rail with an identical one
from another 87 crawler when doing the head job last fall. It was cleaned and looked very good. A spark plug pulled in #2 and plug was dry, inside with scope showed no wetness. Can't believe these rebuilt injectors were all bad from this company. Any other doo-dads that might have been missed in evaluation; lot of time and angst trying to get this thing back to normal. Ton of $$, both techs rebuilt many of this 22RE EFI ...SUV will have to sit a bit, owner on vacay and more modern vehicles provide easier and more profitable
venue than an old clunker. I'm 74 and a witness, a spectator, not an operator. The intake has been off couple times, leaking -O-ring(s) back in 2020, , removal to replace the steel fuel line that hugs the engine on the starboard side, 2020; even exhaust manny had to be removed to do the other leaking hard steel fuel line hidden up under it (both were seeping at the worn out gasket. removed a 3d time when cylinder head swapped; and now Intake changed yesterday for the 4th time and likely proceeding for the 5th time. Old vehicle parts will fail and you hope not when YOU own it or your young enough to fix it yourself.
Q: anything other reason likely no fuel getting to cylinder #2? thanks...BTW, all that timing, etc. seemed plausible until it wasn't.
thanks to all that partake in this caper.

You need to check the injectors with a Noid light to see if they are all getting the signal to pulse and do their thing.
could be a wiring issue or even an ECU problem.
