Now that's a good idea. How about adapting a runner rear window to a truck? I've seen a roll down rear window in other trucks but I imagine it would take some work. If you used the mechanism from the runner and the full rear glass from the truck it could work.

I think you might be able to do something with it, but it would be a heck of a fab and would really cut into the available rear seat room...

i thought about doing exactly that - the windows open the same way, so it wouldn't be an impossible fab job. but honestly, i don't care all that much so i'll probably never do it.

i've thought about wiring them up to aux lights, one for front and one for rear, or maybe winch in/out buttons. there's definitely lots of possibilities..

if anyone has pickup power window switches + door panels they want to sell, let me know

Next time I'm at the scrapyard I'm going to check out those rear window motors and grab some pics I just might try this mod...
