DOH !! T-bar help...
grrr, well yesterday I was bored, So i decided to start my BJ spacer install.
I was starting with the Passenger side, And the upper A-arm wouldnt move by my bodily force ( I dont think it should, But at the time I did) So I figured I would loosen the Tbar a little bit (IDK if the P/O had the torsion bars cranked or not)...K so After I got done putting the BJ spacer in...It didnt look right, Like, The other side is maybe .5 " taller then the other.
EDIT: Ive only done the passenger side, And only touched that side tbar...
So, Im thinking I forgot which way I adjusted the Bars at the beggining of the day and when i went to put them back at the end of the day i kept going down...or something..
I've been reading tbar threads for the past hour, there are alot...
So, Can I bottom them out all the way..So I know both sides are even...Or what..?

hah that sucks yeah id get a tape. you could go until you bump stop it and adjust by number of turns from there but the bars will have slightly different spring rates case theyre ooold. i would measure

sell those bj spacers. Part of your sas fund!
Seriously, just adjust that one side until its level with the other. It shouldn't be that hard, just trial and error.
Don't some rexlax the t-bars after bj spacers anyways, or are you going for lift?

See thats the thing..Idk If they were cranked up at first or not, So I went on the assumption that the if they were slightly cranked..releaving some tension on the bars would let the upper Aarm move alittle bit easier...
But When I get them done...It depends on the lift I notice if I relax them fully or not...

Sorry let me say what i meant.
Install the other sides bj spacer. Then adjust so they have the same clearance.
Was there a angle on your cv's before? My control arms are practically flat, like almost a straight line from both control arms and the crossmember.

yeah, do both side, then take a tape measure to it...
when I flat out cranked mine a long time ago to get the truck as high as it could go, I tightened em both down all the way, but one side sat higher than the other, so I had to losen the higher side some to get it to level out
even if you had new bars, the spring rate on them will probably not be dialed in precisely the same, so some adjustment will still be needed
I'm prepping to do my BJ-spacers here soon too!
oh yeah, where's the pix?

at least, that why I haven't replaced my because of the torn boots yet, and they've been shot for close to a year now

and I'm also not planning on throwing in OEMs either...

haha. id rather just not have mine go out. like you said a major pita. well so i have heard. also cranked t-bars kills the ride of the truck. i had mine cranked all the way in my f150 and that thing would bounce off the ground over the littlest of speed bumps and a crawl. it was crazy trying to keep in on the ground when trying to speed down a trail

and that's exactly why I loosened them back up
it's harsh for a daily driver; if it was just say a woods/mud truck, then it would be no big deal in this part of Florida, since most everything is just mud and the most extreme thing you can try to flex on is a ditch... or maybe a fallen pine tree or two...
