amen. my parents pull that on me all the time. "the manufacturors make them a certain way for a purpose. if u mess with it ur destroying the balance." i told em its like an airplane. lol. it doesnt matter how high or low ya are, the aerodynamics arent changing. if i get high enough the air becomes less dense actually, right?

nice. worst feeling ever, being followed by a cop. oiy. i hit 90 in a 45 once and then turned onto another road. noticed somethin weird behind me(my spidy senses ya know) decided to chill at the limit, second later, BAM, hes right behind me. no lights, just following. followed me for 5 miles, then nailed the gas and went around me. i poped it up too just to see what he was doin. lol. he hit 90, i hit 90 with him, he started slowin down, i found another road to turn down.

another one of those stomach droppers, im drivin down a road, once again goin about 50 over, cops goin the other way, flashes his lights, turns the lights off and doesnt even slow down. i chucked a bird at him and nervously laughed all the way home. talk about in ur pants. lol

if you're doing 50 over you have no right to complain about police pulling you over ,etc. in most states 50 over will land you a quick trip to jail, with your truck towed to the impound.

im not complaing at all. i wish the cops would pull over every person that goes 50 over. that would be ideal. 50 over though, not 8. oh gracious, hes goin 53 in a 45 and hes doin it in a big ol truck. GET HIM.

shoot, police would probally have a better chance of catching those bums drivin ricy civics that they do a yota truck. specially a lifted one. hey, mr policeman, follow me into this field, and through this mud pit, etc etc.

nothing personal yota tony, but your "help" hasn't been helpful since i have joined yota tech. Thanks for stating the obvious, i doubt anyone drives like an idiot and then complains about being ticketed.
And nothing against your 3 friends, but as i have seen before. If ya know 'em (officers course) you won't have much trouble.

Bottom line is, if you draw attention, you'll get it.
So im pulling the tires and the rims, going stock there ... black steelies with standard car treads. maybe that'll help, and if anyone's got any bright ideas ... some secret trick, the question is still un-answered. Those of you who are not being unfairly targeted by the PO, what is it exactly that you are or are not doing.

i dont see a question, all i see is the thread title. there isnt really a question in your post.

i dont have any issues with the police, but i also make sure to drive the speedlimit, and follow all laws. Im in college so I cant really afford the the insurance to go up any higher than what it already is

you should note that im driving around on 31x11.5's which stick out about an inch from the fenderwell, which i know is a ticketable offense.

oh and knock on wood, or im sure ill be eating my words tomorrow...

a couple of weeks ago i was driving back to school with my girlfriend (she was driving and in her car a 1004 mazda protege 5) we got to a stop sign and came to a complete stop (no lie, she's very anal about obeying the laws) and after we had gone 50 yards a cop pulls us over and gives her a ticket for not stoping for 3 seconds at the stop sign....wtf i'm pretty sure thats not a law. So she's took it to court and the day before her court date she got a call by the court saying they had to reschedule b/c the cop had something else he had to do. BULL Sh!!#

So just went to court for a ticket (traveling wrong way in a turn Lane) but it was really bogus--there were turn arrows in both directions. cop said i drove 200 yards in the turn lane--no way. I saw the trap as soon as i pulled into the store parking lot. anyways makes a long story short--the cop lied his a$$ off about seeing me do it (it was the two other cops in the driveway parking lot--constitutional law and confronting ones accuser??) and made up a couple other bogus points. Bam, judge ruled in his favor.

Then in cali i got a really bogus combo fine of almost a 1K. cop lied again and i also got thrown in Jail for contempt of court.

Just seems everyday i care less and less for cops. Have they forgotten what its like to get tickets and not be above the law (of course they have). With me it is just a given that i will get a ticket every 2 to 3 years--never been let off of a single one--even when being nice.
Isn't there something in the constitution about being able to replace a "corrupt" government? I don't have a thing against the national government and when i'm old enough i want to serve my country in some way. but it seems like someone should do something about SOME local cops abusing their power

Sorry guys--EDIT--"cop lied again and i also got thrown in Jail for contempt of court"--that was i ALMOST got thrown in Jail". FAt Ballif(spell check) threw my papers everywhere. Yes, we can replace corruption and all that other stuff--but people have to VOTE and COMPLAIN and SPEAK UP.

But that is not going to happen--Just an example--they make bar owners stop people from smoking in Thier bars (one of the their freedoms). Do you think that bar owner is going to fight for others peoples rights now?

I do vote and write my congressman and mayor but we all have to do that. We have to march up the stairs and tell them we are not liking how things are being run (peacefully).

I am an easy going person that doesnt bother people and tries to obey all traffic signs. dont even care what you do with your life as long as it doesnt bother me (even bought Leslie a drink one time)--but dont micro manage me. THats all i ask!!

My Nissan got my 14 tickets in 15 months, all for illegal equipment things. No reverse lights, altered suspension, no door handles etc. My Toyota on the other hand I've never got pulled, And it has a header, high flow cat, and a resonator, and thats it. Never pulled in my Camaro, 3 inch exhuast with just a resonator on a 400hp smallblock

i got a dui at 2am on dec 29th 06' from the fla highway patroll when i hadnt drank a drop, he said i failed the field sobriety test and when i asked for a breathalizer he claimed he didnt carry one. i got arrested, booked for a dui at the station. it was only after my truck was impounded, getting arrested and charged with a dui that i was given a chance to blow on a breathalizer, the results were 0.000 and 0.000. i was not on any drugs and even asked the for a piss test and the cop said " you wont need one they will throw this one out" im think ok cool but why am i being thrown in a cell for 8 hours still. long story short, it took 3 months and 4k to an attourney to get the charges dismissed. he pulled me over for window tint that he said was illegal and was later tested by a friend who is an officer foud to be just barley legal. i tried to fight the state but at that time i had used 2 weeks of vacation tim efrom work and was in danger of losing my job, i actually pled no contest to a careless driving charge to get it overwith, the judge finally asked me my side, he asked what happened , i told him i was the designated driver for a buddy who helped me move into a new house all day. i explained that i was really tired and he said that i was still careless even though i was keeping my buddy from driving drunk by taking him home. he ended up dismissing th echarge after i explained that since he wouldnt listen to me 3 months earlier ive had to pay 4k to an attorney. sorry for the long one but these pigs are insane....
