Does anyone know where to get bolts for the rear spring hanger for '86?

Yesterday, I was stoked to find that all of this arrived.

So today was devoted to swapping in the springs (which are OME). Long story short, it didn't happen. Nearly every bolt and nut was seized in place. We tried everything from torching to four foot breaker bars. Since I have to drive back to college, I figured everything would go on minus the springs (shocks and Spidertrax spacers).

I plan on buying all new hardware, so everything goes swimmingly next time, but I can't seem to find a place to buy bolts for the rear hanger. My local family mechanic said the bolts are not standard diameter, but a standard bolt would work. Does anyone know a part number or a place where I can get them?

I also plan on replacing the shackles with the TG 5'' ones. But this makes me ask, would a longer shackle work with stock length springs? I would just get more lift, right? The OME springs are said to give around 2'' of lift, so would a 5'' shackle give me around 3.5''?

One more thing, is the circular thing at the front of the spring a bumpstop? I don't have the regular bumpstops above the u-bolts by the way.

Thanks all!

That little round thing is kinda a bump stop. It doesn't do anything IMO. You don't need it. But id look into getting a bumpstop of some kind for your new springs. There nice to have, makes bottoming out a little less bottemy.

You definitely want bumpstops. You don't want those shiny new springs going to negative arch.

You'll see perhaps 3/4" lift with the 5" long shackle (stock length is ~3.5", so you are ~1.5" longer than stock):

We carry spring hanger bolts:

Or pull the ones that you have out and find a match at a good hardware store or you can order new ones from Toyota. You can usually re-use those stock bolts unless you end up cutting them off due to them being rusted inside the sleeve in the spring eye bushing.

Thanks for clearing that up with the shackles. I was browsing your site earlier looking at shackles and the like, not sure how I missed the bolts.
Quick dumb question, your front hanger bolts are not greaseable, correct?

Oh and what's the size of a stock rear bumpstop? Would a 4.5''x4.5''x2.5'' suffice?

Thanks again.

We can make them with non-greaseable or greaseable:

Been so long since I had a stock bump stop, forget what size they are. That is probably a decent size or you can measure what height bump stop will stop the springs just as they flatten out. This is what my old stock rear bump stops looked like:

That's perfect.
You can expect to see an email from me sometime soon regarding the shackles.

Cheers

I just went out and measured my springs and they are 47'', but the OME are only 43''. Did I get the wrong springs? I took a picture of the OME under the truck and I was thinking that they will flatten out a little to fit in the front hanger and what not.

I would upload a picture, but photobucket is acting up right now.
