Dodge 3.7 swap
I currently have a 2004 Dakota with electrical issues that are costing more money to fix than the truck is worth.i was contemplating pulling the 3.7 and trans out and dropping into my Toyota . I have lots of Chevy swaps but no dodge swaps . Anyone ever done one?

I cant see many, if any, Toyotas fans wanting to get rid of a Toyota drivetrain for something from a failed vehicle line from dodge, that was only marketed to try and compete with Toyota in the first place. what would the advantage of that swap be? no offense I just cant see going through all that trouble for an engine that is not going down in history for any significance. maybe if you had a blown 3.0 and didn't want to rebuild it, and just had all the parts on hand to do the swap. that being said I dang sure wouldn't get rid of a Toyota tranny/tcase for whatever is in the Dakota.

Those are my thoughts exactly.
I would just keep the Toyota stock and then just drive the Toyota.
If anything (and I am still not crazy about this idea), swap the Toyota drivetrain into the Dodge, IF the Toyota's body is in pretty rough shape. Then you might have a reliable Dodge.
