The start of summer brought with it some bad memories of a year ago removing the top for the first time. In an effort to save my back and marriage I spent memorial weekend rigging up a better way to go topless.


Harbor Freight 1,000 lb hand winch securely mounted to wall.


Main Pulley


One pulley at each corner, connected in pairs with 1/8 in. wire rope to the winch. The hooks are through bolted to 2 2x6's at front and back of top. Cargo straps serve as safety.
