As long as the old C-clip still has spring (i.e. is tight on the spline) then you can re-use. And yes, just hammer it back into the diff. It will "pop" in. Good Luck...sounds like you are getting there.

I sheared off two bolts on my sway bar so I've now done the front sway bar removal mod. That's the second deletion mod I've done by accident. Ordering a rear non abs diff was the first.
I have the cv out now and have discovered my spare has a disk that sticks out where the one I pulled out is flush..... I hope the passenger side cv in the first Gen parts truck is the same.

Sorry the head about your sway bar bolts but to answer you're question, no I through it back up right when I finished. Been thinking about taking it off for fun though. Maybe I'll do it whenever I actually get a day off of work.....

I fly back to site Wednesday so looks like I'll have to put this down for a couple weeks.
Hopefully my panhard drop bracket will be in by the time I get home along with my rear sway bar disconnects.
