Differences between corner lights 89-91? (pics)

I bought one of 4Hummer's old corner lights (Thanks Michael! - Great Guy!). I didn't notice (my fault), but his has a totally different look than mine. His had sort of a charcoal/silver finish to it, but more importantly, the interior/reflector portion was a cream color. Mine has a chrome finish to it, and the interior/reflector portion is also chrome. His would be the first one I've seen that didn't have the chrome reflector.

The one on the left is 4Hummer's. The right side is mine. My old lense had a hole in it and needed to be replaced. I managed to gently and carefully pry the lense out of 4Hummer's housing and mount it in mine, which was nice, because I had already done the turn/parking light mod. The lenses you see in both pics above are the same lense. I cleaned it up while I had it apart, which accounts for "some" change, but notice the difference between the two housings. The chrome reflector makes a huge difference in light output.

This may be a nice upgrade for those who don't want clear corners! How many variations have you all seen in corner lights?

Pretty sure they are. It says Toyota on the backside. Another thing that I don't understand is that the part numbers on his and mine are both the same, as well as the rest of the markings (12V, R, ABS, TOYOTA, 35-32, JAPAN, KOITO)

EDIT: Of course the "12V", "R for right" and "ABS" are obvious.

The gray surroound was off the base models, the chrome fancy surround came on the SR5 models. since they where chromed as one piece before the clear lens was attached the reflector was also chromed the base ones were painted so they only sprayed the outside edge of the thing. cheers aviator

Thanks aviator! It must be the chromed ones came on anything above a base, as mine is a DLX and came with the chrome.

Also note there were actual design changes between the 89-95 model years.
The bead edge or whatever you wanna call it, the rim around the lens - was wide on some years and narrow on some years. The PO put the wrong ones on mine, but I don't care enough to change them. Nobody notices.

The change took place in 91-92. The 89-91's had the thinner rim, the 92-95's got the thicker one.

I was running the thicker version (from a junkyard), till I got the one from 4Hummer. The thicker ones fit... it just looked a little weird.
