Died idling then no start

So today like everyday i go to work its cold my 90 truck with a 22re starts up just fine like always. I go to my g/f's work to pick her up to go to lunch and leave the truck running and outta no where it dies and will not start. THe strange thing is theres no CEL to be had. Turn the key to turn the ignition on and nothing, but it cranks over like a champ. Checked the dizzy and rotor seem fine get a spark plug and pull a wire and don't seem to be geting any spark. Went and got a coil from napa to see if that might have been the culprit. No dice. Used to have an old 86 back in high school that the ignition module went bad, hope its not cuz those things aren't cheap.

Heres my real question. I'm a honda guru, and not so much the yotas. If i'm not getting a CEL with the key turned on what does that mean? ECU?
i'm gonna try testing the fuel pump tomorrow when it warms up.
thanks

Someone at napa told me that the flap in the maf could be frozen shut and cause this.
is there any truth to that?
