I had a Volvo 122 wagon back in the 80's that somehow sucked brake fluid through the vacuum booster and into the intake, burning blue.

 

Really? wow...that's by far the WEIRDEST thing i've ever heard LOL

the truck is blowing coolant into the overflow tank...aint never heard of that happening

 

hi new to the forum today , just read this an my 3L has a similar prob emptying its coolant into the expansion tank
i recently had new gasket , thermostat, rad cap to try figure it out but no luck prob end up takin the head off again....

so ill be watchin for more ideas also

 

you put new headgaskets on it?

are you sure that the heads and block were true?

 

My truck was blowing coolant into the over flow when my HG was blow on cyl #3 and the crack went to the exhaust side. The exhaust over pressured the coolant system sending it out the overflow....Hope that never comes back, I gave my head the works while it was out...

 

yea new gasket did a check with a straight edge and visual of the block and head for damage but all looked good

prob pull it apart this weekend an do some proper testing on it
