Deleting heater core ?

I'm deleting the heater core on my 91 4runner 3.0. Should I loop the hoses together or just plug them?

It should not matter as in normal operation the heater control valve can be either open, allowing coolant flow through the heater core, or closed plugging the line. It will be easier to just attach one hose to the inlet of the other. I attached the hoses together in my '82 ranch truck when I removed the heater and have not had any overheating problems.
