Talking Delay wipers

Has anyone installed delay wipers on there 1994 rigs?? is it just a mater of switching out the multifunction wiper control??? say with a 4runner??? thanks inadvance....

I believe there is also a timer module behind the dash as well [I can hear it clicking in delay mode]

do you hear it on the drivers side or the passenger side of the truck?...the click that is...

hmmm must be a relay down by the fuse box also...I thought it might have been on the wiper motor if anywhere..well guess I'll check the junk yard and trace one out..thanks for the information...

I was wondering about this as well...

I know in some subarus it is as easy as switching the "stalk" for one that has the delay function

from what I understand, you only have to swap out the selector on the steering column, but don't quote me on that

I've been looking for a donor truck to get one off of for cheap so that I can try it out and not be upset if it doesn't work

Search intermitted wiper swap...

I did this on my girls 95 4runner. All you need is the wiper switch (with circut board) and the wires...

Remove the steering wheel, remove combo switch, remove steering colum cover.

Unclip wiring harness, pull out each wire for the non-intermitted wiper and swap in the inttermitted wiper switch wires (do them 1 by 1). Put everything back together and enjoy!
