i had no clue what the title was considering it says "cry", but anyway, look like it might help somewhat, but it sounds kinda like one of those gimmicks to me like certain other things. probably not worth the energy or funds required to keep the system running...

DEI's heat wrap stuff isnt bad.

IMHO - for the same effect but with othher benefits is NITRUS...
It also cools the intake air...

and if ur talking about nitrous, its completely different. nitrous actually causes a more violent combustion, doesnt cool anything.

thats the extent of my knowledge on that. lol

it will work to a certain point..but your engine can only add so much more fuel without more modifications.

this would be a worthwhile mod on a heavily modded turbo\supercharged car.

nitrous provides more O2 in a cylinder strike for a larger combustion. more fuel for the fire.

it lookes like to me you have a co2 bottle that feeds to the "bulb" in the intake, the co2 causes the bulb to ice over causing colder intake temperatures. i dont know how much of a gain you would get on a n/a motor, a 22re of all engines. but it does make some sense, kinda like an intercooler. keeping the tank filled would be just one more thing to worry about and for the gains it would give on your truck i doubt it would be worth it

Nitrus does affer "cooling" by fact that the gas expanding will take heat out of the intake manifld air stream.

But its not the main intended effect.

Since the DEI deal has
a) a tank
b) the tank will run out
c) pipling and valving and stuff

Ya migh as well install Nitrus which has the same compenents and a similar "cooling" effect as well as adding mroe o2 to the intake..

Not really a worth while mod for a turbo/supercharged car if you have an intercooler. They use NOS and spray it onto the intercooler to cool down the air intake, its alot easier than that cry set up. Plus with NOS it doesnt disturb your air flow.

the only thing the Cryo2 is good for is the intercooler sprayer. For these motors, nothing will work. That intake cooler thing, for the 22r, you'll just be wasting your money. For that much cash, you could get a header.

this is very true, cryo2 is used in place of No2, when you need similar cooling effects without the more violent combustion. it works very well on N/A race vehicles...because it allows for a much cooler intake charge, which results in denser air, resulting in more power...it can also be used on supercharged/turbocharged vehicles....its effective on built motors, not so effective on stock motors.
