well i felt my clutch slipping and a burning rubber smell so i backed out let it sit then it went away. but i was in 4wd high there, you could feel the strong suction on the car! i was like damn im stuck then i thought wait 4wd low! thats when you see me fiddling with the shifter then he shut the video off. 4wd low is awsome but i soon realized how unuseful 4wd high with out gearing down is. its way to tall for any good offroading. on the street im still in first when most cars are shifting into 3rd then i go into second gear.

NICE I havent gotten quite that brave yet! I dont wanna mess anything up and then have to fix it.

x2 on the red clay we have the same thing here in NC.

yotalaz just wondering what kind of exhaust you have on your 4runner it has a good tone to it in the video and isnt too loud.

its a flowmaster from autozone. not sure on the model name. sorry i waited so long to reply but i was going through old posts and i read your question. i ended up adding a resonator in the place where the cat used to be to quiet it down. it was too loud on the hwy.

From: Nashville TN. I can help you if you're close BUT NOBODY CAN HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T FILL YOUR LOCATION IN!
If anyone's got a hankering for this might I suggest a good going over every weather connector with dielectric grease (though I've heard Vaseline and tampons will work in a pinch)... and a snorkel.

B/c one dip under the airbox and bent valves will cost you a lot more than a $300-$400 snorkel.

And should you get hydro locked STOP. Trying to turn it over and over and over WILL NOT help the situation.

Removing the plugs and turning the engine over with the starter is the proper way of getting the water out.

Then change the oil in it ASAP.... A.S.A.P!!!!

When the water starts flowin, the engine stops goin.

I don't mess around with deep water. I don't really wanna be replacing an engine any time soon.
