Dead Miss @ 3500 ???
The 88 22RE is giving me a hard time currently. When I rev it up it dead misses at 3500RPM and will not go above. going down the road in 4th and 5th gears if I start to pull a hill around 2500 RPM (45 MPH 4th, 60 MPH 5th) it will misfire. I've changed the Distributor Cap, Rotor Button, Plugs, Wires, and fuel filter. Normal thinking would say the Vaccum Advance has gone bad but there is no vaccum advance on the distributor which leads me to believe it may be in the EGR system. I'm jsut curious if anyone else had a similar issue and knew of a possible culprit. I know the Vaccum system leaks like a sive and I'm waiting for the FSM to finish d/l'ing so I can get a good diagram to re plumb it by (the under hood one is too faded to read).

Is this a new problem or did it happen after some of your fixes? And yes I would definitely get those vacuum leaks fixed first.
Huddleston eh? Well...you're just down the road.

double/triple check your timing first.
make sure that when you insert the jumper in the diagnostic port Te1 and E1 terminals the idle speed noticibly changes. if it doesn't go to TPS check and adjustment.
otherwise, any trouble codes?
