Data link connector Location ????? Help

I have a 86' 4runner and my O/d light is blinking. I know I need to jump out my data link connecto 1, but do not know where it is. Can anyone please point me in that dirrection.

Did you turn the ignition to on and watch the engine light flash on the dash after you jumped the plug?

atleast it'll show you where the plug is that you need to "short" out. I told you the wrong plug...sorry!!

how about following directions, particularly if you don't know what you're doing?

by pulling your codes via check engine light it will tell you the code for your tranny..

there isnt one to do the o/d light!

JEL - Did you find the Data Link Connector for the tranny? I found the two round yellow plugs on my 86 by the air box but those look nothing like the connector that the tranny documentation refers to.
