Y buddies 1989 truck the blinkers and the gas gage don't work. I'm thinking it's the dash relay?

 

What gives you that idea??

 

my blinkers stopped working and it was just loose connection above brake pedal

 

The reason I have that idea is because they both quit at once and the blinker light works it turns on but doesn't blink

 

By Dash relay, you mean tail light relay? Check your schematic, I do not think Dash relay affects blinkers and vice-versa.

Replace the Turn Signal Flasher. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...=6415_0_11714_

The turn signals are not powered through the tail light relay (as Rad4runner suggests), so your problems are not likely to be related.

Gauge fuze is good

 

You mean the turn signal lights turn ON but do not blink? You sure you are not looking at marker/tail lights? Those stay on and do not blink.
Do you hear/feel the belinker relay click?
Do you have a schematic of your trucK?
