That dang code 24 won't go away
So I bought this 1988 toyota truck 4x4 22re from a wrecking yard last summer needing almost everything I spent 6 months fixing it up..And now for the last month or so I been chasing a code 24 and a code 14 the code 14 went away for now at least but I am still getting code 24 for a bad Air intake sensor I replaced the AFM with 2 diffrent ones one from a 87 4runner 22re and one from a 85 toyota truck 22re and it made no difference at ALL.The engine runs fine most of the time just the odd time it will get some engine shake and it's sort of hard to start. I am not sure what to do now. If any of you guy can help me that will be grate Jamie.

What sayeth the Good Book?
Code 24 is "Open or short in intake air temp. sensor circuit for 0.5 sec. or more. (THA)" There's a procedure to check the sensor itself: http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...92volumeai.pdf
Since your rig has a, ahem, dubious history, I wouldn't overlook a simple wiring ("open or short") problem. http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...86troubles.pdf (This manual is for a '93, so you might have to do some wire-color tracing to find the right terminal to check.)

I just got done checking the wiring and I am getting 12 volts on all the wires well all of them but the wire going to the afm for the Air intake sensor and that one is only getting 5-7 volts max at the plug for the afm and on the computer side it's also only getting 5 to 7 volts. I am a but lost now. I am thinking maybe it's the computer???? But I can't get a new computer because modle number sticker is wrecked so you can't read it.
