cutting in half

cutting in half
i am going to be cutting the back half of my parts truck off due to it being pretty much useless. i want to save the front half for a project happening at later date. my question is where would be the best place to separate the the two i.e how much space should i leave behind the b piller area. oh i should probably add that it is a 86 4runner
