Any body else bothered by the fact that you can only fit small sodas in there

Ok. I know this is ghetto, but the PO had the right idea. Those little cheapy cup holders that hook on the door, two are hanging off the top of my glove box and one off the headrest of each seat in the back. When I first got it, I was like man, what is this ghetto s&^t, but the first time I was able to put a Biggie drink or my coffee mug in them, it was then ok. The Dollar Store and about $4 and you have four big ass cup holders. I will try to get some pics tomorrow.

LOL....I was gonna say,"that's what those girlie's thighs are for"....especially for the hot beverages.

I've been pondering this whole idea'r myself for a while now. I tried those cheap plastic hanger type holders....on the doors and on the glove box. Problem on the door (in a 1st gen, anyway) is there's really not much room and tends to be unstable, anyway. Especially, offroad. On the glove box...well, it's a general pain when you have to access something. Personally, I've been pondering relocating all the switches at the console and putting a simply made custom box type holder in it's place. It's been done already, I know. But, I've not seen one that would hold two.

Does anyone find it annoying how the cup holders are directly in front of the heater/ac ducts?

I am always drinking water, and it is constantly getting hot in the winter...although it does keep it nice and cool in the summer..hmmm

In the winter I always use my window defogger/vent and the feet setting to keep the truck warm so as to not blow any air on things in the cupholder. The only time I use the chest level blowers is in the Summer flowing "cool" air.

I cut a large plastic cup in half, then used a large washer and bolted it through the bottom to the center console lid. Worked great, but finally took it off cause sometimes I'd forget that I had a drink in there and opened lid to go diggin and hmm, whats that beer smell?
