CSF radiator cap

Iv'e search on the forum and a few people use CSF radiators. I recently purchased one online. However it doesn't include a radiator cap. I have looked everywhere online to purchase one. They say it needs a CSF cap # 4502. I have even call CSF and they couldn't help me out. can i just buy a generic one from advance auto?

Apparently not. A quick search online brought up this on a website:

OE/Stock cap will not work with this CSF radiator!! Must use CSF cap # 4502 Metal tank

I would call back and hope that you talk to somebody a little more knowledgable this time. I guess it's luck of the draw, right?

That sucks that the radiator didn't come with the cap. Where did you order it from? I would call them back first and see if it was supposed to.

I ordered from carpartswholesale.com I called them up and they said to use Sankei Switches Radiator Cap part number: W0133-1708895. which I'm thinking is supposed to fit the oem radiator which I already have a cap for. I'd hate to order it and not fit but I got to do something.

when I got my spectra radiator, an OEM cap no longer fit....I took the radiator with me to the store, said I need a 13psi cap. find me one. and they did.

can you do that or is it in already.....otherwise take some good measurements, buy some 13psi caps, find the one that fits and take the rest back

thanks for the replies. I guess ill just bring the radiator up to advance auto with me, before ordering on online. Just every parts store just wants to look up the oem cap, instead of looking for the part you asking for. I cant comprehend why CSF will sell you a radiator but not a cap.

right, and that's the aggravating response I got, so that's why i took it with me.

agreed, if they sell you a radiator they should at least give you a damn cap that fits and is to spec.
