creeper gusset & shock hoop mounting - trail gear
3" tg ifs eliminator kit, 3.0, 94 ext cab, putting on 35's.
when mounting the shock mount/creeper gusset, I am guessing to line up the cross bolt for the shock parallel with the spring perch? and on the shock hoop, trail gear says 60% of shock in and 40% out &
"Exact positioning will
depend on the spring height, vehicle weight, and
shock choice. Shocks should be mounted vertically
with the "Can" or body of the shock in the up position."
so if i mounted the lower creeper mount parallel to the perch, then the upper should also be parallel yes? my hesitation in this comes from the fact that the spring moves towards the rear of the vehicle under compression...so would this mean that the shock hoop mount should be mounted at a slight angle to accept the spring as it compresses and moves back?
anyone have any tips or clarification on this?
thanks
