Couple questions

I'm a little afraid I'll crack stock ones again. I found a local pick n pull with a pair of crack tails(cracked on bottom) for $20 each with harnesses. The harnesses are $5 each, tails $20 each but since they were cracked they said $40 for all and not $50. I can have new replacements ordered through a bone yard for $30 each and harness for $15 each.

I'm running semi tails drilled into the tail gate, they work but are big and bulky, with gate down they disappear. I don't have to use this truck for street driving but why not enjoy it? I've drove this thing daily for a week and it's been great. I don't know what gas mileage it's getting but I bet it's not good lol.

For the other questions, I don't know my twin cases, never had them but I like them so far. Well, first case is just 4H-N-4H, rear case is 4L-N-4H-2H. Can these simply be put in any gear at any time? If the front case is said to be the stock one then why is there no 2H?

So whats your question about your tail lights...?

Your front "case" is just the reduction box. It only does high and low. While your rear case does high and low as well as select 2 or 4 wheel drive. Your front box should be just low and high.

Would you buy the replacement lights or the cracked ones for $15 each, half price but damaged? I also considered other options but all end up not allowing me to leave the tailgate off or lowered. So I'm really leaning towards stock tails again. I could get the harness again for $10 and not $30 but buy the good non cracked tails at the other place for $60 a pair, twice as much but not broken. Parts store wants $45 per tail so like $100 a set. It's only a rock crawler but I like to enjoy my toys lol. The Tcases were done but I'm not sure if I could use any pattern ratio or not.

Your going to break them anyway... just get the cracked ones and save your self come cash.

Why do you need the harness? Any way you can reuse yours?

For the case, yes you can use any pattern, but generally, you want to shift the rear case first.
