coolant temp sensor problems

i have a 90 toyota pickup 4x4 that had a cold start problem. i fixed that by changing the coolant temp sensor. it started fine the next cold morning. later that day it stalled, but eventually started back up. now it will just turn over and not start. it used to fire up for about a second but now nothing. i checked the codes and it came up with a 12, which says something about no NE or G signal after cranking, and a code 51 which deals with the switch signal/ neutral start switch (but it turns over??). if anyone has any suggestions let me know please. thanks Tim
