Coolant loss 22re
Well truck was running fine until headed out to eastern colorado and the heat and the poor 22re started to overheat - the temp gauge hadnt been working correctly and had been showing normal temps until it was too late and the engine was loosing power.
well checked the reservoir and it was full as well but the radiator when checked had only about 20% coolant in it
Well took it to my mechanic and he did a pressure test and checked for HG leak. Mechanic found no leaks in the system.
But I am loosing coolant, lots of coolant, about a gallon every four hours of driving or so. Nothing showing up on the ground. Oil is clean. rough idle.
Something to note is that the radiator is misbehaving - it has a brand new cap but still isnt drawing or returning coolant to the reservoir. Not sure if that could have something to do with it.
I say blown headgasket anyone else want to make my day and tell me it could be something else?

No nothing on the engine. that's whats strange.
If it is the HG I was thinking of throwing a new motor in there since it had been running real real hot w/o coolant for awhile before I noticed - so I think there is a good chance the head is warped. Any ideas for a new motor?
