coolant leak on backside of engine
My 90 4runner with a 3.0 just started leaking coolant onto the exhaust crossover at the rear of the engine. i cant see where the leak is coming from and id like to know if anyone has had a similar problem, and could offer any suggestions before i tear into the engine. As you can imagine the smell is terrible and it smokes like crazy, I thought my truck was on fire the first time i noticed it. lol

It was the hose you are talking about. Any idea what its called or where I can get a replacement other then the junkyard? Because for a part like that I'd rather buy new then used.

go to www.toyotapartszone.com and type in your VIN and check out the pictures there.
my dealer is waaaaaay over priced and about a 3 days wait for anything I need anyway. maybe you can get a good deal if you find the part # and search around for the best price.

So the full part number for the hose would be 16267‑65011, plus two 16267A clips if you need them. List price on the hose is 13 bucks. Would be 3 bucks and change cheaper from an online discount dealer but then you'd pay 10 bucks for shipping. BTW the part number may have changed, but the dealer will be able to find it with that #.
