does ur tank have a drain spot for when its full? some caps have it where it goes over the tank and drains it on the ground. if not then what it is doing is, the cap is releasing the coolant and with no more room in the tank it is pushing it out where ever it can even if it means where it is.

the reservoir tank has a drain hose on the cap and its not restricted... and even when the tank was half full it was still doing it. but now the tank is empty, it isnt leaking at all anymore.

something is pushing back in the tube and letting the water push out the cap. how new is that cap? might want to replace or see if there is a seal to make the water go down the tube and not out the top.

Why is that overflow tank full, anyways?
It should only have coolant in it if your truck has gotten too hot...
It doesn't feed into the system at all lol

I have to agree with peow130, your over flow tank shouldn't be full, unless your motor overheated, or your cap opened prematurely. Even then if the cap is working correctly it should siphon back to the radiator when it cools down.

I meant that its filled to the "Full" mark that is on the reservoir.

I wasn't aware that it was supposed to be a reservoir.

Just a silly question but, are you sure that the reservoir doesn't have a hole or crack in it? Just asking.

im postive there is no hole or crack.

the pictures show it all leaking out of the cap. and my resvoir has been empty for about a week now and havent had a single leak out of the cap or any overheating issues. and the rad is always full when i check it.
