Con rod bearing identification help please

Hi everyone,

I just removed the oil pan on my 1994 22RE pickup because it was leaking and I would like to replace my con rod bearings at the same time, without machining the crank.

I inspected the crank and it seems like it's in very good shape. I'm doing this to be preventative more than anything.

My problem is that I don't know what size the bearings i removed are. They don't say "standard" or .010 over etc.

The only markings on the bearings are:

76

then below that is: 4G52L

Here is the pic:Name: photobearing.jpg

I would like to put the exact same size bearings back into the truck.

Could anyone shed some light on what size these bearings are? Are they standard?

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Have you miked the rod journals to see what size they are?? pretty much just taking a guess otherwise.

Have you owned this truck since new??

At the least did all the bearings have the same numbers??

Hard to tell if this is the first time this engine might have been apart.

Your in this far and your also not going to do the main bearings as well??

I haven't measured the rod journals. I'm the fourth owner of the truck and yes, the bearings did have the same numbers.

I found the markings on the bearings odd and wanted to check with this community to see if anybody had seen similar bearings/markings. It would be nice if i knew what brand they were so I could try to dig up some info using those numbers.

Virtually the same dilemma for me right now, so I'm curious as the responses. I used Google for the rod bearing part numbers and amazingly came up with nothin'. That was a first. I was 13ft. from my engine room and my micrometers last night and didn't grab 'em and do a quick check (never thought I'd have trouble replacing "in-hand" bearings/part numbers).

"IH" is the Taiho logo

Does it look like this?

http://www.taihonet.co.jp/e/company_o.html

They are OEM supplier to Toyota for bearings...when I replaced mine that's what they were and that's what I replaced them with.
