Hey DirtyOregonKid - what materials did you use for those? How did you address the curve at the end near the tailgate? And, how did you secure them to the body - rivets?

Looking forward to learning more about your sides - my plastic ones are crap and I want a more secure solution for the topless summers

Make sure to remove the sound deadening material. Reason being is that it does not seal 100% to the covered area of your truck and leaves little gaps and areas that will trap moisture and cause rust.

Check out the pics in my build thread (Link in signature), I am currently working on Herculining the interior of my 4Runner Prep is everything. You can use dry ice to easily remove the majority of the sound deadening material.

Not very well because the sound deadening material gets soft and pliable in the summer heat and will cause the Herculiner to crack and peal over time. The sound deadening material needs to be removed.

that is good to know because I was just about to let laziness take over and I was going to go over them. thanks! I gotta know, how does dry ice remove that stuff?

Sorry for no updates. Been spending the last couple days getting ready for a trip up to the highlakes in northern calif. New u joint and rear end and whole bunch of other crap. will post pics of the rear area that has been lined. It looks better after a few days. check out liftercathers thread also, badass

i put herculiner in mine and removed all the tar dampening things. kinda wish i didn't but oh well. i plan on removing my herculiner and maybe get line-x in it and fix up my side panels with the wood replacement and fixing up some rust spots.

yours is looking good
